Fun Home: A Family Tragicomic by Alison Bechdel

5.0

This was such a joy to read, in the most respectful way possible.

Bechdel has a dry and witty form of expression. She tells it how it is. The weirdness of her upbringing, the mental reveals of her father’s sexuality, her own sexuality, and her way to process all of the above were amazingly told by this graphic novel. I particularly loved the way Bechdel’s mind noticed minute details and actually illustrated them on the pages.

I would recommend this graphic novel to anyone, but especially queer people. Absolutely loved it.
