The No-Show
by Beth O'Leary
This book had me at hello. I immediately warmed to the three female characters Siobhan, Miranda and Jane. The narration was wonderfully done and gave each of them a personality and heart as well as being well written of course. It is read by Evanna Lynch, Heather Long, Kathryn Drysdale and Luke Thompson as Joseph. Each character is so different from the next and all in love with the same man. No doubt this book brought the relationship drama at times. It had me frought with emotions. Rage, joy, sadness, giddyness, lustfulness, judgemental, delighted and more.
Joseph is a wonderfully created character also as a man he isn't perfect, he is flawed, he makes bad decisions but most of all he is human like us all. And he grows and changes in your opinions as this book unravels it's secrets. I had a typical love and hate relationship going on for him throughout.
I knew I'd seen this book all over bookstagram for a reason. Wonderfully put together plot kept me guessing till the very end of what ending you were going to be left with. Fantastic bit of romance and storytelling. Quirky characters not only in your leading four but also in the friends and family surrounding our core characters. I loved so many of them. The charity shop pals of Jane were my favourites and AJ is most definitely the man I would personally like to settle down with. I'd certainly read more books written by Beth o'leary in the future. Loved this.
I give it a lusty 5 Lucy Stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
