A Mistletoe Kiss by Jennifer Faye

2.0

More of a 2.5.

This was about Suzanna and Jake. Suzanna has been burned by love before (left at the altar and bad breakups). Jake is her next door neighbor who poses as her boyfriend for her family to avoid them feeling sorry for her. This was cute, but it had several weak spots. The writing was basic. Mostly everything was told (he tells the story of his army trauma at a Christmas festival after only knowing her a week? Not likely). The fake dating (the reason I decided to read it) didn't start until 40% in. I didn't understand why her family felt sorry for her when literally none of her other sisters are dating or married? The reason the "secret" came to be revealed was confusing (she just blurted it out in front of her family?). There was sweet moments and a little bit of a plot, but it wasn't great.

I kept falling asleep while reading this, if that tells you anything.
