Caught Up by Liz Tomforde
5.0
“Pressure is a privilege, Miller. Expectations are high because you’re successful. If you were average, no one would be waiting on bated breath for you. I think about that every night I take the mound. You just have to decide if your dreams and goals are worth the pressure. If you want to live up to the expectations set for you.”
Liz Tomforde is a genius writer.
This series gets better and better.
I'm at the point where I can't decide which book of the series is my favourite. I LOVE THEM ALL.
However, this book though.
It made me laugh and cry. Especially in the last 100 chapters, a girl couldn't stop crying.
It broke my heart (in a good way, I think) but omg, all the scenes.
The plotline in Caught Up was just so detailed out with depth, development, balance of banter, humour and also we get too see both Kai and Millie's individual storyline that blends together with the romance.
I love that I came into the read, ready for some single parent and babysitter trope. But it was more than that.
We get so connected to the character's that we learn of their past, present and potential future.
You could feel the relatability of their stories; it was realistic and all the emotions was such a roller coaster.
I didn't just fell in love with Kai, Miller and Max but I fell in love with the dynamic of the team and side characters.
With the involvement of the Isaiah, i can already guess who's story we are getting next AND I AM EXCITED.
“Do you love her?”
“I do. Very much so.”
“She might break your heart.”
“I’ll love her anyway.”
