Gritty, dark serial killer mystery in a southern town. True detective season one vibes with a standout main character. Strong plot with good supporting characters and a well described setting. I could have done with a few less characters- sometimes it was hard to remember who was who. Pretty gruesome storyline with violence and an evil villain, so check out those content warnings. 

Absolutely excellent narration- this is definitely one that’s great for an audiobook.
