Kochland: The Secret History of Koch Industries and Corporate Power in America by Christopher Leonard

challenging informative reflective medium-paced

4.0

Charles Koch is the embodiment of capitalist expansion. He built an economic empire with no end goal in sight, and the cost of that growth was climate change, climate denial, polluting of the environment, and overall jackassery. The author rephrases a lot of the same information at the beginning of the book, and it was a bit exhausting to get through, but overall it's a great read. Some people are presented in a bit more of a positive light than they probably deserved for their actions (or inaction).
