I Wanna Be Where You Are by Kristina Forest
4.0

I really liked this book. More than I thought I would honestly.

The story is centred around a 17 year old brown girl Chloe who is a ballerina. She is sneaking out to audition for a chance to get scholarship to dance conservatory in New York, which her Mom disapproved of going so far away.
Chloe is like most of us, she doesn't have confidence even she is really great.
The main story starts when her neighbor and sworn enemy blackmails her to tell this to her Mom if she doesn't take him with her.

The main reason I like this book because it tells us to follow our hearts and dreams and do what we love regardless of what our parents want because in the end, it's our life. And I also loved how Chloe is a brown girl and that never stopped her.
I also really liked the character development of Chloe in this book. She gained a lot of confidence and fought for her dreams. She didn't let her past and injury back her down. Although I feel like there should've been more development for Eli.
I would totally recommend this book, especially if you have confidence issues. It's an amazing light read too!!
