Nine Rules to Break When Romancing a Rake
by Sarah MacLean
I liked the author's YA regency romance book, so I had higher hopes for this one.
On the plus side, it was hilarious... but not because it was meant to be. The whole thing was completely ridiculous and full of unnecessary sex. I would have admired the main character for sticking to her list and doing the exciting and cool things that men get to do without basically being easy. Instead, she gets a chance at the guy she's been pining for for ten years and jumps at it, only to get shirty because he "doesn't love her back." Yeah, girls can be crazy, but she was special.
Also, way to Mary-Sue it up and give the main character a ridiculous name that only her One True Love appreciates...
