Provides some history on the Castle Doctrine and how American police (and lawmakers) have encroached on our constitutional rights over time. Balko is measured in his approach and holds a libertarian bias which is not an authoritarian’s cup of tea. If you tend to support the War on Drugs and militarized tactics, vehicles, weaponry, and attire you may experience some hardcore cognitive dissonance. Recommended to those who support “blue lives matter” activists and in general those who don’t mind militarized police flirting with extralegal punishments, searches and seizures.
