The Heart Principle by Helen Hoang

4.5*
everything was just perfectly balanced in this book and i loved the romance so much. most of the romance i read nowadays are enemies to lovers and reading this was kind of like a breath of fresh air. i also just loved anna and quan as characters, and the way they handled obstacles in their relationship as well as their personal lives, and i grew attached to them pretty quickly.
this wasn’t an easy book in my opinion even though i adored it so much. the relationship between anna and her family fet so real to me and it reminded me a lot of my own situation that it really took an emotional toll on me when i was reading it and i had to put off the book several times just because i felt like i wasn’t in the correct headspace to read it. thats why seeing anna’s progression from the beginning until the end fet so special to me.
ending this w a light note, my other fave thing about this book was the amount of temple kisses and hugs that was initiated by quan likeee they were everything to me
