Leviathan Falls by James S.A. Corey

4.0

Man, this is almost 5 stars. I’m not sure if I knocked a star off for being just a bit weaker than the two books that preceded it it because it represents the end to a great series. Probably a little of both, honestly.

This book deals with two things: Laconia trying to recover what they lost at the end of the previous book (I’m being vague to avoid spoilers) and the final reckoning with the things beyond the gates. The former is… fine, though at this point you’re probably still reading for the latter. And that stuff is great in a way that ties together many of the plot threads from the previous books.

I can imagine a version of this book that’s stronger than what we have, but this is still an enjoyable read that closes out this series well.
