I am astounded by how great this is. As feminism finally becomes a larger discussion point in culture right now this book perfectly states how problematic patriarchy currently is and how dystopian and more awful it could become in the future if left unchecked. And as important as these themes are to the story, they don't overshadow the truly amazing characters that are solidified so quickly in this series. Frankly, this is world building at its finest.
