I have arrived at and finished probably my favorite Outlander book to date. A Breath of Snow and Ashes is like a high speed car chase from start to finish. Unlike The Fiery Cross, where it takes a while to find its footing, this story straps you in right away and there is so much that happens. Diana Gabaldon really makes sure she gives every character a moment to shine, take the spotlight. That is true even for the side characters that are introduced in this epic installment.

My thoughts and feelings have not changed, if anything I think I love this book even more on a reread. It really is Diana Gabaldon at her best. Well, my amazing journey through this series again will continue now in book seven!
