Run
by Ann Patchett
Thank you to Tandem Collective for gifting me with a copy of this book.
It's taken me a minute to gather my thoughts about this book. Run is definately not something I would go ahead and pick up myself in a bookstore.
Run deals with adoption, grief, race, politics, religion and many other things. Following Tip and Teddy and their adoption father Doyle through 24 hours of their life in which an accident on an icy road with a car turns their world on its head.
I think this book was so cleverly done and I can't believe how much happened in the space of 24 hours. I'm also shocked at how ridiculously unlucky but also lucky some of these characters were. I saw some of the twists coming but others I didn't.
My first Ann Patchett novel and I think I'll definately pick up more from her in the future. 4 stars from me
