For Once in My Life by Colleen Coleman

4.0

I can’t say this was “laugh out loud,” but there was some dry humour sprinkled through this story. It was also a little slow to get started after the opening wedding disaster, but once it did get started, I was pleasantly surprised by the depth to this story. Completing the bucket list pushed Lily to grow and deal with some of the things that had been holding her back—transformed her in a number of ways—and I loved that Christopher was so genuine in both his work ethic and his friendship/romance with Lily.

For those who care to know, sex happens behind closed doors and there is a little bit of language, but overall this was a satisfying read, even if it wasn’t quite the laugh-out-loud story I was looking for.
