Courage to Dream: Tales of Hope in the Holocaust by Neal Shusterman

emotional informative reflective fast-paced

5.0

This was a beautiful tribute to those that resisted and died in the Holocaust by blending folklore and fantasy with very real people, horror, and triumphs. Each comic story was beautifully illustrated and followed by photos and information behind the inspiration for that story. There was also a bibliography and author/artist note in the back matter. I enjoyed this one for the hope and resilience these stories portrayed, but also remember how  the evil of that time is still present today.
