Novels of portals to other worlds are lovely. In The Ten Thousand Doors of January, some doors are portals to other worlds. There are adventurers who seek out the doors, and a cabal of creatures wanting to maintain the status quo by closing the portals. A young women, her dog, and the trace of stories. This is a novel for story lovers, for readers and dreamers. It imagines worlds or wonder ... if only we seek them.
