Masquerade

Pleasantly surprised by this book. The first book in the series was good, but it felt too quick. This one was a bit quick as well and still had the Twilight-Gossip Girl cross over (that I love?) but everything felt more in place, other than the first one. However, why was Morgan (is that their name?) added into this book? He was there and then he wasn't. I'm sure that scene was needed for Bliss' character development, but it just seemed.. unneeded. I'll just have to see if he'll be mentioned in the next coming books. I've looked on wiki pages for this series (just to understand the characters better, understand what each book is about, etc..) and I saw where it had Bliss as Schuyler's half-sister and for a week I've been confused by that, but it finally makes sense! I was starting to understand whenever Lawrence brought up that Allegra had a second daughter, alluding to Bliss, but it wasn't until Bliss had pulled out the photo that I pieced it together. I love that plot - especially with how Bliss and Schuyler's relationship has worked out, seems as if something drew them together.
I think I will be continuing this series since I enjoyed this book and I'm excited to see how everything plays out. I'm excited to find out who the Silver Blood is, where Dylan has been, how Schuyler and Jack work, and (I googled some spoilers) how Kingsley plays in Mimi's life. All in all, a pretty good book!
