The Gifts of Imperfection by Brené Brown
4.25
informative inspiring reflective medium-paced

My therapist recommended this book to me, and I can honestly say that it really resonated with me. I felt throughout a majority of this book that Brené was talking to me as if she knew me as a close friend. she writes in a way that's very easy to digest and is very personable. The only negative aspect of it, for me, is that it can get a little to religious at times. I am currently not religious, but I eventually want to explore if religion is "for me", so maybe that aspect will resonate a little better with me in the future. Regardless of religious aspects sprinkled in the book, Brené's advice and strategies that she describes in this book are very doable and I will be doing my best to employ them in my life. Definitely worth the read, especially if you are struggling with self-worth and if you don't feel like you're living life to the fullest.
