Waypoints: My Scottish Journey

I listened to the audio version because Sam could read the phone book to me (if you are old enough to remember what those were). I enjoyed his adventurous account of his trip along Scotland’s West Highland Way but what makes this memoir excellent is his account of his personal life journey as well. Heughan weaves between both narratives, and while it can be a bit jarring at times, it does give his readers a glimpse into his front-facing life as well as who he really is as a person. I suspect that while his readers have learned a little more about him besides being that guy who plays Jamie on Outlander, he also seems to have learned some things about himself along the way too. Slainte!
