While historic fiction is not my usual genre pick, I read this book for the book club I’m apart of. I really enjoyed learning about the traveling librarians but, I found the pacing to be too slow. There were too many subplots that didn’t feel necessary and we spent too much time on certain events. The book was too long. I believe things should have been cut in the final draft.
