Was gonna give this 2.5 stars at most before i remembered its an Ali Smith novel, so why should i expect a decent plot? Really, i only read her books for the comforting feeling i get, with a stupid little smile on my face from her half decent ironic speech sequences. Anyways, another yay for Smith, this cool dude gets the ultra specific rating of 3.75. In comparison to Autumn, which really went home on the comforting notes, this book was nowhere near as good. Let me down a bit, even though i remain happy to sing her words of praise. Was this book slightly disappointing? Yes. Will i continue to happily read the other two books left in the seasonal quartet? Absolutely. This shit mad comforting.
