I think queer relationships are important to represent in all literature, especially those targeted to YAs trying to figure things out, so thank you Ava for doing your part with that. The world itself seems both incredibly far away and incredibly similar to the world we live in. Debt to the government being paid for in blood, the world becoming inhospitable, money (or credits in this case) dividing the classes and making them hate each other. This last one I feel is especially prevalent because, in reality, it's the government vs. all of the people, not the rich vs. the poor.
I only wish I had more of this story!!
