My Best Friend's Mardi Gras Wedding by Erin Nicholas

4.0

In this first book of the Boys of the Bayou series, we meet Josh and Tori. They meet at Mardi Gras, experience an instant connection, and promise to see each other again a year later in order to see if the feelings are real. Well a year later, Tori finds herself back in NOLA for Mardi Gras, but gets herself in a situation whenever she accidentally kisses the groom, her best friend, thinking it was Josh. So she has to work extra hard to prove the she doesn't actually like his friend and all the craziness ensues.

Erin Nichols is a new-to-me author and I am glad to have started reading this series. I love family folklore stories and this one had the recipe for a successful pilot book to a new series. It sets up the family, well who you know will each get their own books. It's hard not to love all the quirkiness of the Landrys.

I was given the opportunity to listen to the audiobook and also really enjoyed the performances of Amanda Stribling and Neill Thorne. They are both new-to-me narrators and look forward to listening to more of their work.
