Just Ignore Him by Alan Davies

4.0

3.5/5

Soooo... Read the annotation next time??? Alan Davies is a comedian and I usually LOVE listening to their autobiographies, but this was soooo, so much darker and sadder than I thought it was going to be. Considering what's going on in the world and the level of stress and anxiety I am experiencing, this was a very poor choice.

However. The book itself was really good. Alan's memories and feelings, his experience... I pitied him and was horrified the whole way through the book. This is something no child should live through. None.

I'm glad I picked it up nonetheless, because I now know Alan from a very different perspective, which makes his kindness and silly humor something to cherish. I hope he is well.
