- an ember in the ashes ended with high stakes, and somehow this book ended with even higher ones. the drama keeps getting more and more, while still working in the context of the story. everything seems to work out and i love it!
- i. love. heleneeee! she has so much depth and was such an interesting character. she deserves so much better :(
- the characters were all great. all very interesting, with their own motivations and struggles.
- i didn't like tas at times. he just talked so weird. "rise elias vetrius" — what kind of ten-year-old talks like that?
