Tales from the Café by Toshikazu Kawaguchi

3.0

This was decent. Definitely not as impactful and heartfelt as the first one, but still good. It is very repetitive though- not only within itself by describing the "rules" over and over again, but also within the series (same format, similar stories, etc.). This wasn't bad at all, but I'm just kinda done with the whole concept.

Because of all that, I am unfortunately going to end my journey with this series here. I actually started book three right after reading this one and they're just so fucking repetitive, so I DNFd that at about 30% and I'm just going to end it here. Also, book three follows an entirely different cafe, and that kinda ruins it. There was something so special about there just being the one little magical cafe and now it's... lost its magic for me! Oh well. I still recommend the first two books, but I can't imagine reading the same kind of thing for THREE whole more books.
