Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe by Benjamin Alire Sáenz

5.0

I'm sobbing mess. It's 3am and here I am writing this review with my jumbled thoughts and weeping my eyes out.

I had no expectations going into this book despite everyone telling me how good it was. But I am blown away. This is my first novel by the author and also first time I listened to a whole audiobook. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience of audiobook and I think it added so much to the story. Honestly finished it in one sitting. I listened to it while driving, cooking, doing homework, and possibly even while showering (don't judge me).

What can I even say? It's absolutely beautiful. The plotline, characters, and writing. The strong friendship, bond, and support. The family. There is no flaw in this book at all. It digs deep into Ari's emotions and it's like peeling an onion. There is so much depth to it.

I completely and totally recommend reading this book. Nothing but love for it.
