The Farthest Shore by Ursula K. Le Guin

3.0

There is a good core to each of the first 3 Earthsea books but the characters all come down with a bad case of unrelatability. The Farthest Shore makes me keenly aware that main characters ought to be curious, kind, and bland. They are a base on which to build a story. And both Arren and Ged provide an unstable foundation.
