Dense, academic read. But provides a profound backdrop to the socio-political context in which it means to participate in sex today. Many times throughout it, I had to put the book down and yell in frustration at the inequalities we're still combating. And many more times, I had to scroll TikTok to bring back some levity to the otherwise heavy subject matter.
It's opened my eyes on a lot of things, but did not provide as profound or direct path forward that I would have hoped, or that the title suggests.
