I don't devour books often, but when I do it sometimes surprises me.
I loved this book, even though that is a loaded statement. There is a lot to hate about this book, it does discuss some taboo subjects and leans towards very brutal at times. But the descriptions, the flow of the language, the larger message at play, and how grounded in reality the people and contexts, all of those things make this a memorable read that sticks with you. It is true Splatterpunk, and I definitely need to buy it (shout out to public libraries).
