In the Company of Women: Inspiration and Advice from Over 100 Makers, Artists, and Entrepreneurs by Grace Bonney

3.0

I give Grace Bonney a lot of credit for putting together a diverse group of successful businesswomen who, by most accounts, are invisible (am a little @@ that the vast majority of women profiled inhabit either NY or CA, though). That said, I didn't really learn much or pick up any profound insights here: the Q&A format gets annoyingly repetitive after a while with so many women interviewed; and while it's fine when their answers are unique, I don't know what I'm supposed to take away when the umpteenth person answers that she wanted to be a lawyer when she was a kid.

This would've been much more impactful if deeper dives were done on a handful of these women, instead.
