Honestly I wanted to love this book! There were so many great reviews but I found that it was like a cup of hot cocoa were at first it's super sweet but ends up leaving a bad after taste. Here's what's in it so that you can make the best decision for you.

Language: one random use of BS but otherwise no cussing.

Spice: There is pretty minor spice. Including a same sex couple kiss, some passionate kisses, and a few thoughts about someone being in someone else's bed but it doesn't go further then thinking what if they are sharing a bed. It is also implied that the plant characters one goes by he and the other goes by they share soil. It is also implied at one point that the characters would be willing to do more but are stopped before anything is really said.

Magic Use: Uses magic words and ingredients to use magic. It does include one spell that uses blood but is pretty minor and isn't graphic.

Violence: Some discussion about a war and the violence that she sees. It isn't discussed in graphic detail but she does have symptoms of PTSD caused from her experiences. Short conversation about domestic abuse and how that caused someone's death. As well a few short conversations about previous people getting killed by either the government or someone's family. It is alluded too that someone might have ended their live.

Political: There are several conversations about politics including the rebellion, the government being over thrown. As well as a family killing a women's wife because they didn't like her implied that it was rival families.

Those were the things that I wish someone had said before I read it. Honestly if you are good with all of that and you are looking for a cozy fantasy that's easy to read then this is probably your book.
