This was such a good read! I read this book so fast and I absolutely loved it. This was the perfect set up for a world that you can dive right into without being too overwhelmed. This is the first book in The Ember War series and it’ll leave you needing book two right away!

This book was full of everything that I love including:

→ Magical creatures

→ Forbidden love

→ Disability/chronic pain rep 

→ Military/war academy 

→ Enemies to lovers 

I loved characters, especially Aisling. She made for an interesting FMC and I appreciated her loyalty to her best friend Tetra. And of course I loved Kohen as the morally gray character.

This book is definitely one of my new favorites.
