Say Nothing: A True Story of Murder and Memory in Northern Ireland by Patrick Radden Keefe

This reminded me a lot of John Hersey's Hiroshima. Incredibly balanced and informative. I wanted to learn more about the Troubles without all of the loaded language that still gets thrown around, and although this book is mostly focused on the Provisional IRA, Keefe wrote so strongly without passing any judgment. It's a very empathetic book about a very complex and painful time for all involved.
Strong recommend.
