Struggled to stay involved in this one. It felt like the stakes were raised really high immediately, conversations occurring between characters within the first chapter that clearly had a lot of importance but no meaning because I wasn't acquainted with anyone yet (&sometimes that really works! but it felt off here.) Could also be that I don't have enough interest in the world of fashion to read a fictional account of it, even if it is within my favorite genre. That being said, I will definitely be doing more research about Catherine Dior because she sounds fascinating!
