The Princess Trap by Talia Hibbert

adventurous funny lighthearted reflective fast-paced

5.0

If Talia Hibbert writes it, I am going to read it.

This is my fourth Talia Hibbert novel. I decided to listen to The Princess Trap on Audible. I read the Brown sisters series and loved them all. Hibbert creates characters that are hard to forget. I can remember each Brown sister and their significant other. My fave is Eve Brown.

The Princess Trap is a story of Cherry, University employee, and Ruben, a rich prince with a troubled past and present.  Cherry is a beautiful, sassy lady who loves her family and she is so over men.  Ruben just wants to do better given his last scandalous love affair and his poor public image.

When these two meet, Ruben is smitten and Cherry is indifferent but she does feel the attraction. Ruben invited Cherry to lunch and this one lunch results in a fake engagement.

What will Ruben and Cherry do about this fake engagement? Will it lead to happiness, heart break đź’”, steaminess, miscommunication, defiance and letting go?

This story was funny, romantic, heartwarming and heartbreaking. I loved the connection, conversation and heat between Cherry and Ruben.  The narrator, Cornell Collins did an amazing job of bringing at least seven characters to life. I love his accent.

If you’re looking for a RomCom that’s gonna have you in your feelings and make you cackle out, this one is for you!
