🌶️🌶️.🌶️/5

I want to start by saying I HATE the pregnancy trope and avoid it like the plague, but I’m also the type who never checks the blurb. I was in the mood for a RH, skimmed the synopsis saw "modern RH with an FMC who’s a barista kinda" and thought, hey that could be fun. So with zero expectations, I jumped in.

And honestly? The pregnancy aspect didn’t bother me as much as I expected. The first half of the book? I loved it. The FMC is witty, Nate is amazing, and their dynamic was so good. It was subtly funny, had a good flow, and I was completely on board.

Then.. she meets the rest of her harem. And that’s where things started going downhill. By the last 25% of the book, I was struggling. Everything just became too easy, too rushed, and every guy was instantly obsessed with her in a way that didn’t feel earned. Like, can we get some tension? Some build-up? Anything?

The writing itself was fine (not the best and not the worst) but the spicy scenes? They just didn’t hit. The descriptions lacked that oomph to make them actually steamy.

Final verdict? Not continuing the series.
