I have no words, only very chaotic feelings about how amazing, brilliant, funny, and heartbreaking this book is.

Also Kaz is my baby, so nobody touch him (seriously).

What I liked:

The writing. This story was crafted so well and every line was poignant and magical.

The characters. They were so complicated and messy and MORALLY GRAY and I love them with my whole heart.

The trauma rep. This is so important, and I love that Leigh gave us this representation because it demonstrates that not only can we all overcome our trauma and disabilities, but we we not alone in those dark moments.

What I Didn’t Like:

The LGBT themes. Two of the main characters are gay and one is bisexual. As a Christian, I struggle with these themes. I don’t always mind it, depending on how prevalent it is and how it’s portrayed, but it did bother me a little in this book.

Overall, this was a delightfully wild ride and I loved every minute of it.

Content warnings: Death, violence, blood, a person’s eye is ripped out, injuries, mentions of human trafficking, mentions of a character being forced to work as a prostitute, brief but strong cursing, and it’s implied that two main characters are gay.

Trigger warnings: Haphephobia
