Delicious.
Can't go wrong with a villainous, jealous, feral MMC. And yes, he is a full blown villain.
I hated Hooked, so I was very hesitant to start this, but I was pleasantly surprised... I heard this was a rough retelling of The Lion King, but the only connection I noticed was the villains nickname, Scar (The Scarred Prince). So this is more dark romance than a retelling!!! But I still loved it ;)
The pacing, the characters, and the romance were all perfection. Tristian is one for the books... holy fck. That man is full on feral for Sara, but not in an insta-love kind of way. I didn't fly through this like I normally do with books, but I really enjoyed taking my name with this one. It was honestly such a fun read and I've officially been sucked into this series because I just downloaded the second book hehe.
The only reason I haven't rated it 5/5 is because of the high amount of torture in this book... It was mildly disturbing at some points and is a little more extreme compared to the usual rom com books that I read. Nonetheless, this is a new favourite of mine.
