Born a Crime: Stories From a South African Childhood by Trevor Noah

5.0

This book is beautiful, painful, funny, and *so* many other things, all wrapped up in an anecdotal package and delivered in a style that only Trevor Noah could craft. His accounts of growing up make the reader feel as if they’re right there with him, running from angry minibus drivers, selling bootleg CDs on the street corner, or hearing the wisdom of his mom’s words.
