As someone who deeply loves movies this was a book I found myself really enjoying because it deconstructed the usual romance movie tropes, while also validating them.
I'm giving this book a 4.75. I really appreciated the notes on needing real life perspective and experience to be portrayed in media. However, there is a piece of me that longed to know Harry's back story with his parents. Although, I get that that is part of life and some closures are not so clear cut and we don't get all the answers.
Regardless, as a child of divorce, who also had a similar relationship with my father. The message on choice was so refreshing, and honestly, validating.
Moderate: Alcoholism, Addiction, Suicidal thoughts, and Self harm
