What happens?
Ember is on the run from the legion. They are after the extinction of all supernatural creatures. When Ember's sister is taken she is determined to get her back even capturing a hunter who she remembers from the invasion.
Ember tries to break into the prison where her sister is being held but ends up finding more confusion and more answers to questions she didn't know she wanted to ask.
Final thoughts
Really good starter book. I wish I'd read this before starting the changling series this is a good basis to read those books.
