Big fan of Eve and it was cool to journey through her career, but it felt like this was missing something.

I think a level of vulnerability? 

There were big things mentioned but we were given no context or build up for them so they just didn’t land the way they should have. There was also a lot of NLOG energy and respectability politics (which makes sense considering her upbringing and what she was surrounded by in the industry) so I think it would have helped to have more background so that we could connect to these moments. 

I found the order of events was sometimes off which made it a bit confusing. 

Still an interesting read, I just wish I’d finished it feeling like I understood Eve more as a person, rather than just getting a Wikipedia type run down of highlights.
