Sword of a Valkyrie by Melanie Karsak
5.0
It was truly wonderful to be back with Freydis. She is desperately waiting for her father to return from his exile and voyage to the West with her love, Brien. She finds herself entangled in the games of more than one god, earning the ire of others in the process.
Focusing on keeping the old gods in play, Freydis works with the other Gythia to push back the rise of Christianity in Iceland, paying their respects to the gods and honoring the traditions of their ancestors. She finds an unlikely ally in the depths of the hands of Loki, but whether or not she will be able to survive her choices is yet to be seen.
