Alexis Hall knows how to write thoughtful love stories that reimagine old tropes and keep you wanting more after the HFN ending.

It's been 24hrs and I still have the warm and fuzziness after listening to this on audiobook (the banter comes alive on audio, as do all of Hall's stories).

I don't even have enough time or space to talk about everything g I loved, so I just want to mention that we only get Sam's perspective, but Jonathan is so well written and Hall does such a good job showing his emotions, that it feels like we get both perspectives.

Seriously. Most of the time when I read a single perspective romance it feels like the love interest is a fill in the blank void of nothingness. Jonathan is complex and interesting. I know his side of the story, I even know when he started falling for Sam, and he didn't have to say and he didn't have to have a perspective chapter. That is just how good a write Alexis Hall is.

Also shout out to having a love interest that isn't a male model with a 6 pack.

I will read anything Alexis Hall writes. Probably.
