Indian Burial Ground by Nick Medina

dark emotional mysterious sad tense slow-paced

4.25

This was my first Nick Medina novel and it did not disappoint! I felt like I was on edge the entire time, especially on Louie's chapters. Though at the beginning, it did move a little slow for me but once it picked up, it was quite a ride! Also, I struggled with the back and forth between past and present. I think I would've enjoyed it more if we got through Louie's story before moving on to present day with Noemi's POV. Overall, I loved the mythology, the horror (especially the horror. I love when horror novels make me feel a sense of unease and this one did just that!) and the mystery. I'm definitely excited to pick up more from this author.
