Forever in Love by Susane Colasanti

5.0

I cannot believe this is the conclusion of City Love. It's over but not truly. Forever in my heart, as I have been saying. I am extremely happy with the concluding scene and from the point of view it was told.

I was so very sad to see Rosanna say goodbye to D. I thought they were perfect together! Reference to my very first City Love review on my blog. "But it was so evident that D loved Rosanna a lot. They clearly connected and he always seemed fascinated by her. It was beautiful to read. " (2015). Alas, D was still in love with his ex-girlfriend Shayla. He wasn't over her and couldn't give Rosanna the love she deserved. As Rosanna said, "We are the good-on-paper couple, slicing our picture in half right down the middle" (p.175-176).

In all of that, Sadie and Darcy got such good boys with very little drama. I felt like this last one was more Rosanna centered which was a nice change in terms of relationships.

Sadie had to struggle with the relationship with her brother, which she eventually learned that they have more in common than she thought which was amazing. I am so happy to read that she and her brother Marnix are finally connecting and moving forward as friends. Sadie did have some wife drama with Shirley, Austin's wife but that quickly was smoothed over by Rosanna.

And Darcy was cut off financially due to her father's stupidity and infidelity. She got a job and finally broke Logan's heart like he deserved. She met some boys but thankfully they were just friends, Tomar and Random Boy. Because Jude is her true love. And I am so glad he reached out to her again. They are so perfect together.

Overall, I am so happy with the ending and can't wait for more novels from Susane. But for now, City Love is forever in my heart (and on my shelf).
