Dhakhar: A Universal Protectorate Novel by Annabelle Rex

3.0

The story was an enjoyable read, but it felt like something was missing. Neither characters background was fleshed out or explained fully, and the ending felt rushed. Not only was it rushed but it didn’t feel authentic to the rest of the book. To be quite honest after about over half way through the writing style changed. Charlie’s trauma and her trauma responses were very relatable but they never delved into it. Dakharr never got a full character, and neither did any other character. It felt like a rough draft. There is so much potential here but it needed more.
