But Enough About Me: A Memoir by Burt Reynolds

3.0

An enjoyable look into the life and friendships of Burt Reynolds. Personally I would have preferred more about the movies and less "gossip", but YMMV.

Interestingly, I listened to the audio, narrated by Reynolds himself, and I was struck by how very emotional he was. To be fair, the sound editing wasn't particularly good anyway (plenty of rustling pages, false starts and hiccoughs), but there were many times where he seemed to struggle to get to the end of a sentence because of how emotional he got (either that or he was in a lot of pain!), and every now and then the final word or two got lost along the way.
When I think of Burt Reynolds, I usually think of him either grinning or fighting, so this definitely presented a whole new side to him.
